Storm Chasing Vehicles... or Zombie Survival Transports?

If you have ever watched Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel, you've seen some pretty intense [and some ridiculous] vehicles.  So as I was watching the show I thought... "Oh... My... Gosh!  THAT'S what I want in the zombie apocalypse!"  See what you think:

 This first picture shows some modifications to an SUV.  According to Discovery, it is, "equipped with sheet metal and transparent Lexan armor, an external roll cage, durable single-beam radar on the roof and a probe deployment tray in the trunk".  Tell me that wouldn't feel safer scavenging for supplies.  :)




 I am thinking that these types of vehicles would be my choice for a ride through Zombieland.  :)

The Knight XV

Probably a no-brainer, but a fairly compact armored vehicle would be an awesome tool in any invasion.  In todays society a vehicle like this would probably be frowned upon... but in a zombie invasion, you would be the neighborhood hero.

It is just over 6m long, and can withstand bomb blasts and a hail of bullets. The Knight XV, a £323,000 beast of a car made by Conquest Vehicles, a Canadian company, has "created an entirely new niche in the luxury armoured vehicle market", according to its manufacturer. What sort of person would buy this car? "Celebrities, rappers, professional athletes – people who want the biggest, the baddest, and the newest," says Conquest's president, William Maizlin.
